Importance of Skill Development Among Students.

Today's students are tomorrow's future! We're living in a technological era where intelligence defines everything. All we watch around is the outcome of critical thinking, brainstorming, and the full production of the legends. They have a sophisticated and comprehensive skill in what they do. Culture wanted humanity to be more and more developed and competent in all eras of human development. And this eagerness for growth has made people more technically challenging. The past century faced a dramatic development in technology, the internet was one of those, these positively affected each face of the world economy, education, health care, agriculture, industries etc. As a result, both parents and society are concentrating on developing skills among students. Both in technology and art. Every profession today demands most skill full personalities. And the world is a place of competition, the survival of the fittest is happening here.

What an educational system can contribute to the Skill development of students? From primary education we should focus on developing the skills of students, that’s the only possible way to make them survive through this world of competition. They should develop these following skills,

• Critical Thinking and Problem solving :A student must always contain a questioning attitude. They should approach everything through an open mind, they should manipulate the resources with their questions until they get what they want. From this only they become critical thinkers, critical thinking simply means being able to present evidence for our ideas, analyzing the way we think instead of simply learning facts without ever questioning them. Good critical thinkers can draw reasonable conclusions from a set of information, and discriminate between useful and less useful details to solve problems or make decisions. Only a critical thinking personality can approach a real-life problem and solve it successfully.
• Be confident enough to take responsibility :The first thing a human being should learn is to be responsible for what they do in their life. If it is a success or failure be ready to accept it. If we start to blame circumstances or other persons for what we have done, it’s not only failing to take responsibility but also we are demonstrating a character trait. And eventually, we will become unable to succeed in anything. So always be true to ourselves, be honest and develop the courage to be responsible for what we do.
• Self-confidence :Self-confidence is the greatest asset a human being should possess. It gave the ability to stand-up, and speak-up to the world what are they, what they are going to do with their life, and what they are meant to the world. Only self-confidence gives the strength to face the problems universe offer them, overcome their fears and to stay positive always. Only a self-confident human can succeed in their life.
• Decision-making capabilities and leadership :Both of these skills are essential for a professionally talented person. When we need to succeed in our workplace or profession we must courageous enough to take risks. One of them is decision making, it may be spontaneous but if we critically think and study the positive and negative effects of that decision it will be a fruitful one. And we should develop the ability to be spontaneous.
• Enhance a greater sense of self-awareness : Self-awareness is the ability to understand what we are, what are the abilities we have, what are the negatives we have. When you are self-aware, we can predict where our thoughts and actions taking us and it will always allow the freedom to take control of your actions so you can make the necessary changes to get the outcomes you desire. Self-awareness is a critical tool to help you reach higher levels of job satisfaction, become a better leader, improve relationships with colleagues, and manage your emotions better. It’s also positively correlated with higher levels of overall happiness.
